Risk Taker: Alexandra Zaharova + Paper Couture

Alexandra Zaharova is a talented fashion designer who uses paper instead of fabric. She does more than fashion design; Zaharova is a graphic designer and photographer. This is an inspiration to me because I find that I'm interested in so many other crafts within the industry. I found this 2009 Numero spread that featured Zaharova's paper couture dresses. It's striking how detailed and precise the paper is. Check out her portfolio for more interesting projects.

I've been obsessed with being a warrior princess. What I love about this trend is that it's the best of both worlds. The textures of the fabrics compliment the silhouette. Play off your feminine features by accentuating your waist. But remember ladies be classy. I hate to see a pretty lady flaunting everything the lord blessed her with.
