.head to toe. Top Shop hat, F21 overalls, thrifted camo jacket, H&M stockings, Steve Madden boots

As promised here is outfit number two that I shot while on vacation in Wisconsin. A few days before my trip I went thrifting in Brooklyn and found this amazing camo jacket for only ten dollars. What a steal! It's taken me so long to find a camo jacket that was fitting to my body. I love the features on this one in particular because the buttons in the back. When buttoned it gathers the fabric at the waist which then creates a slimmer silhouette. I love wearing oversized pieces but sometimes a girl needs to accentuate that waist right? =)

I bought the cheetah print Forever 21 overall dress while I was at the Mall of America. I definitely like the selection at this Forever better than the one in Times Square. Surprising, right?!? I just hate the fact that the Times Square location has almost the same clothing merchandised throughout the store. I found the dress in the sale section and fell in love with it. The dress is quite short and probably appropriate for the beach. So until then I won't be wearing it until it gets warmer in the city.

It's starting to get a little less chilly here and I'm hoping I can pack up my winter coat for good. Praying to the weather gods that they stop bringing this crazy cold weather!

I'm loving these images because of course they were shot in my home town of Wausau, Wisconsin. Wausau has always been so good to me. It holds many dear memories - good and bad. LOL Being home was enlightening for many reasons. I was able to have private moments with my lovely grandmother, babysit my nieces and nephews and of course go out and have a blast with my cousins. It was the getaway that I needed.

A day before I left Wausau I wanted to shoot some outfits. I asked my cousins Amy and Vicki to take me to the best places in town. We only had a limited time but they did their best! Let me tell you - it was FREEZING. I'm so glad these two ladies endured the horrible weather with me. We found this spot in one of the newer buildings across the old mall that I use to shop at when I was little. It was the perfect spot. It looked like a greenhouse meets a coffee shop. Not sure why no one takes pictures here but if you're in Wausau you should.  Of course there wasn't the amazing sun glares but the light was gorgeous. Vicki did an amazing job for being an amateur. I hope you enjoy these. I have a few more outfits I'll be sure to share with you all soon.

xoxo

It's always this time of the year where I become so reflective and sentimental. Holidays just have that affect on you I guess. I've been so happy with the way my journey has played out. Life is so precious and every moment that I get to soak in knowledge and life I'm willing to go forth with it. My most favorite moments have been the times where I don't think. It's all about feeling every teensy sensation. Sometimes I catch myself being a bit emotional (especially on a train). And its mostly because of all the the small things. I have the most amazing people in my life. Every time I need anything - I can always turn to these people to shower me with words of wisdom. Words of encouragement mean so much to me. I don't know how I would of made it without a "you'll be fine", "if you need money I can help", "you're an inspiration to me", "don't change - you're perfect just the way you are" and my favorite "can I have your instagram life?".

If you ever get the chance - get off your iphone and explore your neighborhood. Find an exhibit. Crash a concert. These experiences have truly made me 10x happier. And always share your happiness with others.

My hair has been un-even for the longest time. Because 2 years ago I made the decision to shave half my head, click here for pictures. But I didn't stop shaving it until maybe early last year. Thankfully I'm lucky that my hair grows extremely fast. My hair hit my shoulder by end of last year.

Recently I've had the urge to cut my hair. If you know me - that's the thing that bores me the most. Don't know why. I actually really wanted to color it but now that I'm working in corporate I'm trying to maintain that professional look.  Haha. I love the new hair because it balances me out since I'm quite short. Doesn't it look so chic? LOL

**These pictures were taken when the weather was still warm but breezy. Now it's starting to get colder. So I obviously won't be wearing a dress without leggings. Winter will be here soon. Are you excited? Cause I am.

This was yesterday's outfit of the day. I decided to play with the editing since some of the pictures weren't to the quality I preferred. My co-worker needs a much steadier grip.Lol

I've been working out every day after work. I'm so proud of myself because I'm actually really dedicated. One of my friends also informed me about a groupon deal - $25 for 5 belly dancing or Zumba classes. Couldn't pass on the offer. I can't wait! I've always wanted to take classes but no one ever wanted to go with me. Anyways have a good weekend! I have lots of plans that I will hopefully be able to update you all on.

I seriously have been wearing a lot of color lately. That's always good cause I dress according to my mood. The brighter the better!! The more prints the more confident I feel. Fashion says too much. lol I kind of threw this on without really thinking. I was running a little late today. Turned out to be a really comfortable. As for the bralette - I'm surprised I didn't have anyone commenting on my top. Oh well, I can't complain. Also I found this really cool spot to photograph at. I'm not sure what the symbols or images mean but they looked interesting to me.

Here's yesterday's ootd. I didn't realize that I wore cheetah print two days in a row! lol I love Fridays cause I'm ready to hang out with my friends and grab drinks. Working all week can get stressful and boring. I met up with one of my great friends Felicia to catch up on some girl talk. We grabbed my favorite Vietnamese Tacos at Xe May Sandwich shop. They have the best viet subs too! The menu is reasonably priced. Try the HOG sandwich or taco if you ever get a chance to go. We also hit up the East Village and did a little thrifting at No Relation Vintage. I got my hands on some pretty good deals. Will instagram (zabbbeyyy) a pic later! Hope you all have a great weekend!

I haven't posted an outfit in like FOREVER. It's been difficult to find someone to take a picture of me simply because I'm often alone. (not in an emo kind of way) I've recently started a new full-time job. A regular 9-5 - corporate! It's crazy right? Anywho - now that I have a trusty co-worker to be my M-F photographer I should be pumping out more posts! No more excuses! lol

As for my job I our dress code is business casual. For me this is a big adjustment that I've had to get use to. The past few jobs I've had I was able to wear whatever I wanted. I did start out wearing more black, whites, and greys for the first two weeks but then I realized that was not me. I'm sticking with the rules but throwing in my personality. I mean half the time no one comments on my attire. So I'm going to keep pushing the boundaries ;)

18.5.12

This is my OOTD. It's been a while since I've been able to post an outfit because I don't have anyone taking pictures of me. Luckily my friend Dustin just moved to NYC. Now we're always together all the time so I shouldn't have an excuse now. In many of my previous post I talk about how my work has changed. What I probably mean is growth. I'm growing into a woman and so does my taste. My style has become more fashion forward and simplified. I remember just wearing prints every day. Nothing wrong with prints but I barely had basics. Moving here has challenged me to work with what I have. Making a week's worth of outfits from a few key pieces. That's a way to force you to dig into your creative juices. Fashion is so fun and never allow someone to tell you otherwise.
